Sorry this isn't super organized but this is just the emails I've gotten to inform you guys. If someone wants to do something for this to chip in, reply here and coordinate but please get with Kasto ASAP.
Hey folks!
Firstly, thank you to all my fellow Orders folks for allowing Jhustis to share your contact information. I really appreciate your willingness to get involved with a super huge project like this. Secondly, just so everyone knows who is included here: we have ALL the Order Speakers looped in (That's Haileyann from Apostles, Levinas from Black Fox, Uhl from Dragon Shield, Yanbelev from Iron Circle, Somniumvisum from Theren Guard, Mystyrain from White Rose, and (me) Kasto from Tavern Troupe), Mistanna of the Crystal Vanguard, and Leucius of the Mentor Society.
Now, right to the meat and skipping the veggies, I'm sure most (if not all) of you have seen or heard one of the Tavern Troupe's Chris' Mass Carnival and Faire events over the past two years. With each year that we do this, we reflect upon how we can make it bigger and better for the following year so that way people can have more fun. After all, having fun while playing games is important right? Right?
A little history about the prior two instances before we get into this one. The first Chris' Mass was contracted of the Tavern Troupe by the House Giraud. We held this on the Premium Amusement Pier of Crossings and it featured a number of "sideshow" type activities which fit with the whole "Carnival" theme. The second Chris' Mass was held in the winter area that opens on Town Green in Crossings and it featured snowy/winter type activities which fit better with the area itself. This was done purely by the Tavern Troupe with no contracted work at all.
So, where does that leave us? Well, we obviously have to top that somehow which is why I'm reaching out to all of you fine folks. So that we can work together to make this more awesome, give out more gifts and prizes, have more fun things to do, and bask in the shared glory of being the amazing people we are.
Now, you might have oodles of questions, so hopefully the information below will help with that. If, after reading through it and verifying you can help during the requested dates, you want to take on one of the suggested activities or have an activity to suggest yourself that you'd like to handle... just go ahead and respond here.
Make sure to hit that "reply all" so that way we can all know what each other is doing. The activities are "first come, first serve" so the first person to confirm they can handle it is the one who will get it. If another group takes the activity you were hoping to do, do not fret, suggest something else that jives with your group.
If you have some crazy question or want to discuss what each activity is... feel free to hit me on AIM using my SN hexedbythenet and I'll be happy to talk with you.
Looking forward to working with you all and hope to hear from you soon,
~Kasto

Time ~ All times
Location ~ wintery portal - Chris' Mass area
Major Activities:
We have a few "Major Activites" which will be the big focus for things folks can do during the Festival. These are events which will need the Hosting Organization to submit event forms for. That means designing a custom gift, prizes, announcement, etc. Whatever you feel is needed in order to make the activity a success. I have provided below a list of things that have been done in the past and would be neat to do again, however, if you have an idea on something else to do then please suggest it. I'm always happy to add in more as long as you can commit to hosting it.
All final and confirmed details will be added to a google document for all hosts/workers/staff to view.

Extra Activities:
In addition to the "Major Activities" we also have a number of random games and fun things that we'll call our "Extra Activities" for the Festival. These do NOT require event forms and will be "one-off" type things. These will not have announcements or prizes provided and will rely upon you gwething and spreading the word about them. They are not intended to be scheduled, so that way you can do them whenever you feel like it. I've provided a short list of things the Tavern Troupe will handle, but if you'd like to offer to handle something as well then please let me know so I can add it.
All final and confirmed details will be added to a google document for all hosts/workers/staff to view.
Acting Games - Kasto - Tavern Troupe
Guess Who? - Kasto - Tavern Troupe
Games by Anjinson - Anjinson - Tavern Troupe
+ More
Event Forms:
When filling out event forms, do not bother with listing a full schedule of the Festival. Just focus on the individual activity you are handling. The Tavern Troupe will submit the full information for the Festival (as well as seperate forms for the activities we'll be handling) so not to worry about that.
- Gifts and Prizes:
Any gifts provided should fit not only the theme of the activity, but also the overall theme of a Winter-y festival. Making a custom sled for sledding lessons, skates for skating lessons, carving kit for carving contest, etc. These are all fine. Making a broadsword for a fishing contest, probably not.
Images that can be included, and may have been used in the past, are things like: "a snowy landscape" "festively-decorated cities" "a little boy and girl frolicing in the snow" "mistletoe" "red and green" etc. Remember we can't make any ties to actual OOC Christmas stuff, but we can get pretty close. If you're not sure what you've designed will fit, then I encourage you to talk to me.
Also, you're totally free to use the symbols or crests for your group somewhere in the gifts or prizes and include your group's name in any READ descriptions. Though, I do ask that any READ descriptions added also include the phrase "Chris' Mass 418" in it.
- Announcements:
We'd like for all announcements to use the following format so that way they all work together well:
You hear the jangle of holiday bells accompanied by a jolly voice echoing in the distance saying, "(Message here)" The jovial announcer repeats the message again before moving beyond your hearing range.
Event Staff:
In addition to all the activities, we're also looking for folks to wander around as our Event Staff for the entire Festival. These are the folks who spread word about activities, promote the raffle, and pass out wrapped gifts to anyone visiting. The gifts will be provided by the Tavern Troupe in the form of a backpack full of packages/boxes/etc. to pass out as they desire. Anyone working as Event Staff will also be paid by the Tavern Troupe at the end of the Festival itself, so folks are encouraged to track their time spent working. Please talk with your members and see if any of them would like to help out in this facet of the Festival.
Links to spreadsheet for Event Staff will be provided to confirmed workers.
Raffle:
Once again, the Tavern Troupe will be hosting our massive raffle of awesome stuff. Everyone is allowed to buy tickets, even those who are working the festival. This is one of the biggest facets of the Chris' Mass Festival, so please make sure you speak about it often and to as many people as you can.
Links for the Raffle prizes will be available for everyone to share when the list of items is finalized.
Just following up with everyone about this. We've got an awesome set of activities already claimed, so thank you all for stepping up! Once the festival end, we're gonna all be going crazy confirming schedules and planning out date/times.
Just a refresher for you all. We're looking at:

Until then, have fun at the festival!
