Just as the last spar of the night was wrapping up, Adan'f started to spill into the sparring area, but weren't found anywhere else in Shard. A new dancer by the name of Grynth was spied by mirror, and seemed to be using newly acquired blood magics to create the hordes of the undead Adan'f which were covered in gore and scorches. Although the droves were slaughtered before most could even exchange blows, the Blood Dancer Grynth seemed unwaveringly pleased with the results. While speaking with an Adan'f Mage called Zuath, she indicated that her gifts seemed to be taking well, but then said that they were not enough and they should 'bring some to us'. Grynth, speaking as cognitively as most Adan’f can manage, then referred to a 'loud one' and that the gifts would lead Zuath to them so that he could bring the Loud One back to dance with her. Zuath and Grynth shortly thereafter retired into the depths of the caves and outside of scrying abilities, and the assault on the spar combatants and those who had come to help stand against the onslaught finally ceased. (It is suspected that the gifts they are referring to are the hordes of Adan’f that invaded the spars, and that references to 'her' are towards the Adan'f Dancer, Iszanua. I've no knowledge if someone was thoughtcasting enough to be titled 'Loud One'.) Here's a link to the log from shadewatch mirror.

Do you know who Nynah (sp?) is? She ostensibly obtained a box with some mysterious items that she felt strongly about not destroying despite urgings. The box contained a couple of scrolls containing necromancer spells and a ring that she claimed burned when she wore it. (Insert LoTR pun here.) She wouldn't allow anyone to inspect the ring and said that she would be taking it north with her.

Nynia is a moon mage that I think is wearing some item that makes people react when you LOOK at her. She generally tends to be abrasive and stirs up trouble from it. I've never gotten much that is sensical from her, and wouldn't be surprised if she just got a payload box with rare drop scrolls and an albredine ring or something. It is also entirely possible it actually was something interesting though, but she likes to RP in riddles and metaphors so I gave up on getting her to show it pretty quick. Heh.
She has spoken of a Mistress of hers obscurely before, and I would not be surprised if she was a necro supporter, but I've no evidence of that other than impressions from watching her up in Crossings. I think I remember she was friendly with Walcar when he was still really public with his necromatic ways, but I'd not seen her since that. I'll try to keep an eye out for anything.

In that case, maybe talking darkly will get her to spill the beans. I suspected she's a necromancer supporter. She was nonchalant when referring to the findings, including necromancer spell scrolls, as treasures. She also seemed to imply she uses sorcery of the not cool, potentially apocalyptic kind. Curious to know what sect she belongs to. Maybe she's a curious Tezirite.

Osus and I were talking about her. I'm pretty sure she was just wanting attention. I don't believe the ring bit myself.

Can we just toss her into the fires of mount doom and hope the ring is there?

In a related(probably not so related) note, apparently there were Xala'shar sightings north of Crossing and I THINK some were in Theren as well. I actually don't know much about the Xala'shar and Casserah is still not here to bug so...*pokes Mistanna and readies pen and paper*.

I actually don't know much about the Xala'shar and Casserah is still not here to bug so...*pokes Mistanna and readies pen and paper*. lol, ok... just from memory here though. I'm taking a break from packing. The Xala'shar are a radical group that harassed Crossings and Arthe'dale up until Asketi's Ride last year. Their soldiers are willfully volunteering for necromantic experiments, and tend to be very, very strong. Some of the Xala'shar got more and more powerful the more that they killed, (almost obsurdly so! One-shotting Powerhaus and similar HLCs) and ushered in the release of levels 150-200. I was only barely able to handle their non-invasion spawn, which were roaming the NTR all the way up to the NE gates for weeks, if not months. (Lots of false invasion warnings would be gwethed from the unwary when the Xala'shar would reach the NE gate and kill the 'zombies' camping out there.) They're the reason the wagons there starting running people to the Haven ferries. In an event during one of their latter invasions, many of the guildmasters came out to help defend the city, but only managed to push them back to the Lake of Dreams. That area was barricated by the Ministry of Exploration, which I believe Liev Deneshal is trying to research as that area was on Deneshal lands, and noone seems to know terribly much about the Ministry. I think I remember Powerhaus posting about that on their invasions on the forums somewhere... Back to work for me! Hope something in that was useful.

Hah, quick note on the Xala'shar thing...definitely a false alarm there. According to the GM something bugged out and they showed up when they weren't supposed to.
